Actress Kubra Reveals Story Behind Superstar Item Song

Islamabad: Kubra Khan shared the backstory of the item song “Dharak Bharak” from the movie superstar in her appearance on The Pick and Drop Show hosted by Yasir Hussain.
During the show, Kubra Khan expressed, “I must apologize, I made a mistake. I wasn’t aware that it was an item song. Initially, I was informed that I would be doing a song for the film Superstar.”
“They told me it was a cameo, and I would be performing alongside Bilal Ashraf, so it would be good for my career. However, upon arriving there, I questioned myself, ‘Why am I here?’ I was regretting my decision.”
She also mentioned her refusal to wear the ghagra choli and recounted a scene where she had to make an entry while boys were whistling at her, which made her cry during filming. Yasir Hussain added, “Once, during a public event, a little girl sang ‘Tutti Frutti,’ and I felt embarrassed after hearing the lyrics.”
Kubra, an enchanting and gifted Pakistani actress, has graced both television and film screens with her presence. Renowned for her roles in numerous successful Pakistani serials such as “Muqabil,” “Alif,” “Alif Allah Aur Insaan,” “Sang E Mar Mar,” “Sinf E Aahan,” “Sang E Mah,” and “Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay,” Kubra has established herself as a prominent figure in the industry.
She made her debut in the film industry with the blockbuster hit “Na Maloom Afraad.” Director Nabeel Qureshi discovered Kubra Khan on Facebook and approached her for a role in his widely acclaimed feature film. Kubra Khan also graced the screen in “London Nahi Jaunga.”
Her stellar performance in the recent hit serial “Jannat Se Aagay” garnered immense love and appreciation from her fans.
