Lahore: Renowned Pakistani actress Reema Khan has revealed that she deliberately chose not to wear bold outfits while attending Indian award shows, saying her decisions were guided by a sense of responsibility as a representative of Pakistan.
Speaking during a recent podcast appearance, the veteran star reflected on her experiences at international events, particularly in India.
She said she remained mindful of her appearance and conduct at all times, adding that she declined suggestions to wear bold attire because she believed she was representing her country on a global platform.
“I am always very careful while choosing my clothes and my words,” she said, emphasizing that public figures carry a responsibility due to their wide influence.
Reema stressed that artists should remain conscious of their language, character, and behavior, noting that audiences often look up to celebrities and follow their actions closely.
Commenting on the evolving media landscape, she observed that negative news and controversies tend to receive more attention today, while positive developments are often overlooked.
Sharing her personal reflections, the actress also spoke about life and spirituality. She remarked that while many people aspire to attain heaven, few are willing to confront the reality of death.
According to Reema, those who genuinely seek a better afterlife should focus on easing the lives of others and contributing positively to society.
She concluded by expressing gratitude for the blessings in her life, stating that true success lies in humility and thankfulness. “Life is short,” she noted, adding that individuals have only limited time to leave a meaningful impact on the world.
