ICC Announces Player of Month Award Winners

Islamabad: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the winners of its Player of the Month awards for August.

Sri Lankan batter Sonal Dinusha was named the Men’s Player of the Month after an impressive Test series against India. He scored three centuries across two matches, earning the award for the first time in his career.

England’s Ollie Robinson and Bangladesh’s Hasan Mahmud were also shortlisted for the men’s award.

In the women’s category, Isle of Man captain Lucy Barnett was named the Player of the Month, becoming the first cricketer from the Isle of Man to receive an ICC Player of the Month award.

Thailand’s Suleeporn Laomi and Nannapat Koncharoenkai were the other nominees for the women’s award.
