Lahore: National cricketer Mohammad Rizwan has submitted his response to a questionnaire issued by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), stating that he has never been informed about the specific online gambling activity or incident with which he is allegedly being linked.

According to details, Rizwan said he had served the Pakistan cricket team to the best of his ability and had not been provided details of any specific online gambling incident or his alleged involvement in it.

He stated that during his appearance before the agency, he repeatedly sought information about the allegations against him but was not provided with details despite his requests.

Rizwan further argued that matters involving corruption allegations against cricketers fall within the purview of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU).

The cricketer pointed out that, despite being an active international player, no such allegations had been reported to the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit. He questioned why the NCCIA was conducting an inquiry into the matter, maintaining that complaints concerning corruption in cricket should be handled by the ICC’s ACU.

Rizwan requested that the agency provide him with complete details of the allegations so that he could properly participate in the inquiry. He added that if there were any allegations against him, the matter should be referred to the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit without delay.
