Lahore: National cricketer Mohammad Rizwan has approached the relevant authorities in Lahore, challenging the summons issued to him by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCIA).

In his petition, Rizwan has also sought details about the progress and basis of the investigation being conducted by the agency.

The petition argues that the summons did not specify any clear reason for requiring his appearance. Rizwan has urged the authorities to disclose the grounds and basis on which the investigation was initiated.

The NCIA had summoned Rizwan and fellow cricketer Imam-ul-Haq as part of an inquiry into the alleged leakage of information from the dressing room during Pakistan’s series against England.

Both cricketers were also questioned by the agency in connection with their mobile phones as part of the investigation.
