Irtiqa’ Exhibition Highlights Diverse Talents at GIK Institute

Peshawar: The three-day art and fashion exhibition concluded at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, drawing in a diverse audience, including academia and students from various parts of the country.

The event, titled ‘Irtiqa’ (meaning art revolution), was organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) in partnership with the GIK Institute.Its primary goal was to celebrate the province’s culture through mediums such as calligraphy, art, and paintings, providing a platform for emerging artists to showcase their talent and gain recognition.

Featuring over 100 art pieces across three categories—painting, calligraphy, and craft—crafted by students, the exhibition offered a rich tapestry of creative expression.

Additionally, theatre performances and dramas conveyed meaningful messages to the audience, enriching the overall experience.The event also hosted painting competitions, a fashion show rehearsal, and cultural painting competitions on T-shirts.

The fashion show, with models adorned in vibrant traditional attire, added a dynamic flair to the proceedings.

Attendees, particularly students, lauded the festival as an invaluable opportunity to connect with peers and immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s culture.

They expressed gratitude for the chance to expand their knowledge and deepen their understanding of the province’s traditions, scenic beauty, and way of life.
