Man held for selling rented vehicles worth millions

Rawalpindi: Police have arrested a suspect accused of obtaining seven vehicles on rent from a citizen and later selling them in different districts, police said on Wednesday.
According to a police spokesperson, the accused allegedly took the vehicles on rent and then fraudulently sold them in various districts after deceiving the owner.
Following a complaint lodged by the vehicle owner, Kallar Syedan Police registered a case a few days ago and launched an investigation into the matter.
Police, using technical and human intelligence, traced and recovered all seven vehicles from different locations. The recovered vehicles had reportedly been sold in Bhakkar, Khushab, Bhalwal, Hafizabad, Wah, and Rawalpindi.

Officials said the suspect has been taken into custody and will be produced before the court with evidence for further legal proceedings.
SP Saddar Anum Sher appreciated the police team for the successful operation, stating that there would be zero tolerance for fraud and exploitation of citizens.
She further urged the public to exercise caution and thoroughly verify all details before entering into rental or financial agreements to protect their assets.
