Hot, Dry Spell Forecast Across Sindh for Next 24 Hours

Islamabad: Hot, dry conditions are expected to persist across most districts of Sindh over the next 24 hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday.
The forecast indicates that the weather will remain generally hot and dry throughout the province, while upper districts are likely to experience extremely hot conditions, raising concerns over heat intensity in the coming days.
Meteorologists said no significant rainfall is expected, and the prevailing dry spell is likely to continue, affecting daily life in both urban and rural areas.
Residents have been advised to take precautionary measures against heat exposure, especially during peak daytime hours.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) announced that there will be no load-shedding during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays, ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply for consumers during the festive period.

Meanwhile, hospitals across Karachi have reported a rise in heat-related illnesses. Medical experts said the number of patients suffering from respiratory problems, including asthma, has increased by around 20 percent due to the extreme weather conditions.
Health experts have advised citizens to stay hydrated, drink plenty of water, and avoid direct exposure to sunlight to prevent dehydration and heat-related complications.
Elsewhere in the country, the highest temperatures were recorded in Dadu and Nawabshah, where the mercury climbed to 47 degrees Celsius.
In contrast, weather conditions remained comparatively moderate in Islamabad, Lahore, and Quetta, where a decrease in heat intensity was observed.
The Meteorological Department has also predicted rain and hailstorms in several parts of the country during the next 12 to 24 hours, including areas of Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Hailstorms are also expected at isolated locations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
