Gold prices drop in Pakistan

Islamabad: Gold prices declined in the local market on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold falling by Rs3,500 per tola to Rs483,036, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

The price of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs3,001 per 10 grams to Rs414,125, while 22-karat gold fell by Rs2,751 to Rs379,628 per 10 grams.

In the international market, gold prices dropped by $35 to $4,605 per ounce.

Meanwhile, silver prices moved higher locally, with the price per tola increasing by Rs50 to Rs7,329. The price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs43 to Rs6,283.

International silver prices also increased by $0.50 to $68.50 per ounce.

Gold prices fall $35, local rates follow

Gold prices came under pressure in both international and domestic markets on Thursday, with the price of the precious metal falling by $35 per ounce globally to $4,605.

The decline in international prices was reflected in Pakistan’s local bullion market, where 24-karat gold dropped by Rs3,500 per tola to Rs483,036, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

The price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs3,001 per 10 grams to Rs414,125, while 22-karat gold declined by Rs2,751 to Rs379,628 per 10 grams.

In contrast, silver prices recorded gains. The price of silver increased by Rs50 per tola to Rs7,329, while 10 grams rose by Rs43 to Rs6,283.

International silver prices also gained $0.50 to reach $68.50 per ounce.
