Sarfaraz Breaks Silence on Pakistan’s Performance

Lahore: National cricket team coach Sarfaraz Ahmed has said he will take responsibility if the team fails to perform well, adding that decisions regarding the team’s future will be taken after the ongoing series.

Speaking about the team’s recent performances, Sarfaraz said the management would also have to share responsibility if the players failed to deliver. Despite the challenging situation, he expressed optimism that the team could bounce back and produce better results.

The coach said the team was currently facing difficulties in finding quality fast bowlers, but the management was trying to field the best possible combination based on the available players.

He said all members of the squad were making their best efforts, but dropped catches at crucial moments had affected the team’s chances.

“Had those catches been taken, the situation could have been different,” he said.

Meanwhile, following the national team’s disappointing performance, white-ball head coach Mike Hesson has been summoned to England during the ongoing Test match at Lord’s.

Hesson is scheduled to leave Lahore for London today to join the team and assess the situation amid the side’s recent struggles. “Had those catches been taken, the situation could have been different,” he said.
