Hot Weather to Persist Across Pakistan

Islamabad: Hot and humid weather is expected to persist across most parts of the country on Tuesday, while partly cloudy conditions are likely in some northern areas during the afternoon, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said.

According to the PMD forecast, Islamabad and adjoining areas will remain hot and humid.

Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to experience similar conditions, with partly cloudy weather likely in Swat, Kohistan, Battagram and Shangla during the afternoon.

In Punjab, hot and humid weather is forecast for most districts, while similar conditions are expected across Sindh and Balochistan. Coastal areas of both provinces may experience partly cloudy weather.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to remain mainly dry, with partly cloudy conditions expected during the afternoon.

Rainfall recorded in several areas

During the past 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed over most parts of the country. However, rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms was recorded at isolated places in northeast Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Dir and Larkana.

Sibi received the highest rainfall at 31 millimetres, followed by Barkhan with 23mm. Skardu and Gupis received 3mm each, while Babusar recorded 2mm. Dir and Larkana received 1mm each.

Turbat and Dalbandin recorded the highest maximum temperature at 42°C, followed by Nokkundi and Bahawalnagar at 41°C.

Islamabad: 22°C/35°C

Lahore: 28°C/38°C

Karachi: 27°C/34°C

Peshawar: 26°C/37°C

Quetta: 21°C/35°C

Gilgit: 21°C/35°C

Muzaffarabad: 22°C/37°C

Skardu: 12°C/29°C

Murree: 16°C/24°C

Faisalabad: 28°C/38°C

Multan: 25°C/39°C
