Over 318,000 Tourists Throng Northern Areas On Eid

Rawalpindi: More than 318,000 tourists visited the northern regions, including Murree, from June 29 to July 1 on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

As many as 156 foreign tourists visited Murree for entertainment, while 37,369 came to Patriata, stated Punjab Department of Tourist Services Assistant Director Syed Khurram Hasan.Syed Khurram said that Galiat had the biggest number of visitors recorded during the Eid holidays and the Punjab tourism squad dispensed the best available facilities to them, adding that tourist facilitation centres provided round-the-clock information to tourists.

The Assistant Director further added that many senior and female visitors were given facilities as a priority and that visitors to Murree can contact the Punjab Tourism Squad helpline at (1421) in case of an emergency or other issue.
