PMD Predicts Rain in Several KP Districts Today

Peshawar: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain accompanied by thunderstorms in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday, offering some relief from the prevailing hot and humid weather across the province.
According to the PMD, while most districts are expected to experience warm and humid conditions, scattered rain and thundershowers are likely in the upper and central parts of the province.
The department said Dir, Chitral, Swat, Shangla, Malakand, Buner and Bajaur are expected to receive rainfall. Similar weather is also forecast for Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mardan and Swabi.
Rain is also likely in Khyber, Orakzai, North Waziristan and South Waziristan, the PMD added.
Despite the rain forecast, Peshawar is expected to remain hot and humid, with the daytime temperature likely to climb to 36 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature recorded in the city was 27 degrees Celsius.
During the last 24 hours, Parachinar received 3 millimetres of rainfall, while Kalam and Malam Jabba recorded the province’s lowest temperature at 15 degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department.
