CTP Starts Campaign Against Underage Drivers In Rawalpindi

News Desk

Rawalpindi: The City Traffic Police (CTP) launched an operation against juvenile drivers on Monday, and will also impound the vehicles and motorcycles of the violators, said CTP Spokesman.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Taimoor Khan said that juvenile drivers not only endanger their own lives but also those of other road users.

Taimoor Khan added that the primary cause of traffic accidents was a lack of awareness regarding traffic rules.

In order to ensure a smooth flow of traffic across the city, Taimoor claimed that traffic wardens are doing their best. The CTO also instructed wardens to monitor suspicious vehicles closely and take stern legal action against anyone breaking traffic laws.

CTO Khan asserted that parents’ primary duty is to prevent their minor children from driving.
