Dumper Crash Kills Woman in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: A 30-year-old unidentified woman was killed after being struck by a speeding dumper on GT Road near Hamrahi Adda, in front of SOS School, Rawalpindi, Rescue 1122 officials said on Sunday.

Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene shortly after the accident, with two emergency vehicles dispatched to the location. The woman was found dead with severe head injuries sustained in the crash.

Her body was shifted to a hospital for legal and medical procedures, according to the Rescue 1122 spokesperson.

Meanwhile, a 15-year-old boy drowned while bathing in a canal in the Hathian Jharo area of Mardan.

According to Rescue 1122, rescue personnel recovered the body after a brief search operation. The victim, identified as Zakariya, son of Obaidullah, was provided CPR and first aid before being shifted to a rural health centre.

However, he died before reaching the hospital, a Rescue 1122 official said.

In another incident in Lodhran, three people were injured when a speeding motorcycle went out of control and crashed into an electricity pole near Adda Daftar on Sunday morning.

Rescue 1122 teams reached the site, provided first aid to the injured and shifted them to District Headquarters Hospital Lodhran.

The injured were identified as Allah Ditta, Abbas and Ahmad.
