Hamza Shares Grief With Families of PIMS Babies

Islamabad: Former Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz visited Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) to express solidarity with families grieving the deaths of 14 newborns at the hospital.

During his visit, Hamza met relatives of two of the deceased infants and shared his condolences with the bereaved families.

Speaking on the occasion, he said no explanation or words could ease the pain of parents who had lost their children.

“I have come here as a fellow human being,” Hamza said, adding that one family had lost two children while their condition had initially been critical but later stabilised.

He said the tragedy had caused grief across the country and that he had visited the hospital to share the families’ sorrow.

Hamza stressed the need for collective responsibility to prevent such incidents from happening again, saying efforts must be made to ensure that similar tragedies are not repeated.

He prayed for strength and solace for the families who lost their loved ones, saying the incident had deeply saddened the entire nation.

“These are wounds that will take time to heal,” he said.
