Islamabad: As Islamabad continues to expand north and west, sectors G-13 and G-14 are increasingly emerging as important commercial zones, with their connectivity to major transport networks adding to their investment appeal.

The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has highlighted the strategic location of the two sectors, pointing to their access to the Metro system, major road networks, motorways and Islamabad International Airport as key factors supporting their commercial potential.

The Authority is offering a range of commercial plots in G-13 and G-14 through an auction scheduled for September 15 and 16, giving investors an opportunity to acquire property in areas witnessing growing residential and commercial activity.

According to the FGEHA spokesperson, the commercial sites have convenient access to major transportation routes and are located around eight kilometres from the M-1 and M-2 motorways and approximately 12 kilometres from Islamabad International Airport.

For commercial investors, such connectivity can play an important role in determining the viability of a business location. Easy access to major roads and public transport can improve the movement of customers, employees, goods and commercial traffic while potentially increasing the attractiveness of an area for businesses and developers.

The upcoming auction will include commercial plots in G-14 Markaz and shopping centres in G-14/2, G-14/3 and G-14/4. Various categories of commercial plots in G-13, including Class-III and Modern Corporate/Office plots, will also be offered.

The growing residential population of both sectors is another factor contributing to their commercial prospects. As more residents settle in the surrounding neighbourhoods and commercial activity expands, demand for retail outlets, offices, services and other businesses is expected to increase.

FGEHA is also offering payment options aimed at making the investment process more accessible. Investors can pay outstanding amounts through easy instalments over two years, while those opting for lump-sum payment can receive a 10 per cent discount. Buyers can also pay the remaining amount in instalments after making an initial payment of 25 per cent.

The Authority has invited investors, businesspersons and developers from Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other parts of the country to participate in the auction.

The two-day auction will begin at 10:00 am on September 15 and continue on September 16 at Aura Grande Event Complex, Divine Hall 2, Service Road East, Sector E-11/4, Islamabad.

With expanding residential activity, improving accessibility and increasing commercial development, G-13 and G-14 are positioning themselves as emerging investment corridors in Islamabad.
