Captain (retd) Sohail Appointed IG Islamabad

Islamabad: Captain (Retd) Sohail Chaudhry has been appointed as the new Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad Police, according to a notification issued by the Establishment Division.

The notification stated that Sohail Chaudhry will assume charge as IG Islamabad, replacing Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

Rizvi has been appointed Director General of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), with his new assignment taking effect immediately.

Meanwhile, Syed Khurram Ali, who was awaiting posting at the Establishment Division, has been appointed Director General of the National Police Bureau (NPB).

According to the notification, Khurram Ali’s appointment is effective immediately and will remain in force until further orders. He is a member of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP).
