Pakistan Hit Historic Low in Test Rankings

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Test cricket team has slipped to a historic low of ninth place in the ICC Test rankings following its whitewash in the recent series against England.

Pakistan dropped one spot in the latest rankings, falling to ninth among the 10 ranked Test-playing nations. It is the first time in the team’s history that Pakistan has occupied ninth place in the Test rankings.

The decline follows a prolonged run of disappointing results in the longest format. Pakistan have won just seven of their last 20 Test matches, while six of their last 12 Test series have ended in whitewashes.

The latest setback came against England, who completed a series whitewash to further deepen concerns over Pakistan’s performance in Test cricket.

The historic drop has once again raised questions about the team’s consistency, competitiveness and long-term strategy in the format.
