Yemeni Forces Intensify Operations Against Houthis

Sana’a: Yemeni forces, backed by the Saudi-led coalition, have intensified military operations against Houthi fighters in several parts of Yemen, with heavy fighting reported in the Al-Wazi’iyah district of Taiz province.

According to the Yemeni army, clashes in the area resulted in the deaths of 30 Houthi fighters, while more than 60 others were wounded.

The army said coalition warplanes carried out airstrikes targeting Houthi vehicles and other military positions, while supply routes and deployment sites were also hit.

Yemeni forces also reportedly targeted Houthi strongholds and reinforcements while repelling attacks in Taiz.

The army said its operations against the Houthis have been stepped up across several provinces as fighting continues in multiple areas.
