Pakistan Reaffirms Unconditional Commitment to Saudi Security

Islamabad:Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s security, saying Islamabad is prepared to take all necessary measures to defend the kingdom.
In an interview with Arab News, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said Pakistan’s commitment to Saudi security was unconditional and that the country stood with Saudi Arabia both diplomatically and practically.
He said Pakistan remained committed to protecting the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, adding that the country’s political and military leadership was maintaining regular contact with the Saudi leadership.
According to the DG ISPR, Pakistan was also engaging with regional countries and other partners to seek a peaceful and negotiated solution to the ongoing crisis.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry further said Pakistan would honour its commitments under the defence agreement concerning the protection of Makkah and would take every possible measure in response to the needs and requests of Saudi Arabia.
