Rawalpindi: “At the intersection of pedagogy, technology, and assessment, we stand on the brink of an educational revolution,” remarked Dr Uzaira Rafique, Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), underscoring the transformative potential of embracing innovative approaches in education.

Dr Rafique made these remarks during the conference on “Innovations in Education, Pedagogy, and Assessment” organized by FJWU. The conference aimed to foster connections between pedagogy, technology, and assessment.

During her speech, Dr Rafique highlighted the crucial role these elements play in driving educational progress and empowering students to thrive.

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Vice Chancellor, Dr Nasir Mehmood, presented a comprehensive framework for digital learning assessment. Addressing the challenges and opportunities associated with digital assessment, Dr Mehmood stressed the significance of adhering to core principles to ensure effective evaluation and positive learning outcomes.

“Assessment in the digital age demands meticulous planning and consideration of factors such as fairness, accessibility, and academic integrity,” remarked Dr Mehmood, urging educators to embrace innovative assessment strategies tailored to the evolving educational landscape.
