Woman Allegedly Strangles Six-Year-Old Niece

Layyah: In a tragic incident in Chak No. 120 ML, a woman allegedly strangled her six-year-old niece to death.

According to police, the accused had a dispute with her brother-in-law a few days prior to the incident. After committing the crime, she, along with a female accomplice, hid the child’s body inside the house.

During the investigation, police recovered the body and arrested both women. Authorities confirmed that the suspects have confessed to the murder. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.

In a separate incident, firing at Chowk-e-Azam on Faisalabad Road resulted in two people being killed and four others injured. 

Police officials said that the bodies of the deceased and the injured were shifted to the Tehsil Hospital. Two suspects involved in the incident have been arrested, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining accused.

Man Arrested for Assault, Death Threats After Minor Dispute
Police have arrested a man for allegedly assaulting citizens and issuing death threats, along with his accomplices, following a minor dispute in the city.
According to a police spokesperson, the arrest was carried out by New Town Police Station using all available resources, including human intelligence.
Efforts are currently underway to apprehend the remaining suspects involved in the incident.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal, Saad Arshad, stated that the accused will be prosecuted to ensure strict punishment under the law.
