GILGIT: Tourists and nature enthusiasts can once again access the breathtaking landscapes of Babusar Top as the road has reopened following a three-day closure caused by heavy snowfall.

According to details, the National Highway Authority (NHA) has cleared accumulated snow from the route, restoring traffic movement from both Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The reopening offers visitors another opportunity to explore Babusar Top’s snow-covered mountains, spectacular natural scenery and picturesque surroundings. The route also provides much-needed travel access for local residents.

However, authorities have announced restricted operating hours due to concerns over severe weather, fog and reduced visibility. Police said the road would remain open to all types of traffic until 4:00 PM, after which it would be closed for safety reasons.

Tourists planning to visit the scenic destination have been advised to check the latest weather forecasts and road conditions before departure. Travelers are also urged to complete their journeys within the designated operating hours and follow traffic and safety instructions issued by authorities.

The reopening is expected to facilitate travel through the mountainous region, although visitors are encouraged to exercise caution as weather conditions in the high-altitude area can change rapidly.

Police said the road would remain open to all types of traffic until 4:00 PM, after which it would be closed for safety reasons.
