New Delhi: South Indian actress Anupama Parameswaran has spoken publicly about a past relationship, revealing that the experience had a serious impact on her emotional and physical well-being.

In a recent interview, the 30-year-old actress described the relationship as emotionally and mentally distressing, saying the experience left her struggling with panic attacks, significant weight loss and health complications that eventually required surgery.

Parameswaran said the situation became so overwhelming that she was unable to continue working on a film at one point. She recalled crying for almost 24 hours and having to halt the shoot because of the emotional strain.

According to the actress, emotional blackmail and attempts to suppress her feelings made it increasingly difficult to cope. She said her family eventually became involved, after which she took decisive steps to bring the relationship to an end.

Parameswaran did not disclose the identity of the person she was referring to. However, social media users have speculated about a possible connection with her co-star Dhruv Kumkum, though the actress herself did not name anyone.
