US-Israeli Attacks on Iran: Death Toll & Number of Injuries
News Desk
Islamabad: The ongoing tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel have escalated into a major regional crisis, affecting not only Iran but also several Middle Eastern countries.
According to recent developments, attempts at a ceasefire have failed, while attacks and retaliations continue across the region.
The United States has maintained its naval blockade of Iranian ports, escalating tensions with Tehran. In response, Iran has once again announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic global shipping route.
The latest exchange of measures has deepened regional security uncertainty and raised concerns over potential disruptions to global maritime trade and energy supplies.
Earlier, Iran and the US had agreed to a two-week ceasefire that began on April 8, but subsequent talks in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, did not reach a final agreement despite lasting 20 hours.
US President Donald Trump had earlier expressed willingness to suspend attacks, on the condition that Tehran fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi blamed Washington’s “increasing demands and constant policy changes” for the failure of the talks, while US Vice President JD Vance maintained that clear assurances were necessary to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Preparations are reportedly underway for a second round of talks.
According to experts, the second round is expected to take place soon in Pakistan, with possible participation from US President Trump also being discussed.
The outcome of these talks will depend on the seriousness and political flexibility of the parties. However, there is a strong possibility that the next round of negotiations will also be held in Islamabad.
Attacks Spread, Region Reacts
Since February 28, US and Israeli forces have targeted nuclear, military, and civilian sites in Iran.
In response, Iranian forces have attacked US and allied installations in several countries across the Middle East.
According to data, so far, countries where Iranian attacks have been reported include Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. In addition, an Iranian drone reportedly crashed into the runway of a British military base in Cyprus.
Houthi rebels in Yemen also launched ballistic missile attacks on Israel, marking a major escalation in the broader regional conflict.
Casualties and humanitarian crisis
According to Al Jazeera statistics, thousands of people have been killed and injured across different countries:
Growing threat and global concern
The closure of the Strait of Hormuz and possible restrictions on maritime traffic amid ongoing tensions have raised concerns over global energy supplies. The United States has announced measures to block maritime traffic at Iranian ports, while Israel continues airstrikes on other fronts, including Lebanon.
Experts warn that the current situation poses a serious threat not only to the Middle East but also to the global economy and energy system. Diplomatic efforts have yet to produce any clear breakthrough.
