Rawalpindi Traffic Police Step Up Measures as Schools Reopen

The Rawalpindi City Traffic Police have implemented special arrangements to ensure smooth traffic flow across roads and around educational institutions following the reopening of schools.

A spokesman for the City Traffic Police (CTP) said on Wednesday that, on the directives of Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam, additional personnel have been deployed at key نقاط. Forklifters are also being used to remove illegally parked vehicles and strictly enforce no-parking rules during school and college hours.

The CTO has directed circle and sector in-charges to remain present at important نقاط, particularly outside educational institutions, to manage traffic during peak hours. They have also been instructed to coordinate with school administrations to designate proper pick-and-drop lanes and ensure single-line parking at closing times.

Farhan Aslam said the traffic police are making all-out efforts to maintain uninterrupted traffic flow across the district and warned that strict action will continue against those causing obstructions or inconvenience to other road users.

He urged citizens to follow traffic rules and demonstrate responsible behaviour while driving.
