Pakistan Army wins top honours at UK military competition

Rawalpindi: The Pakistan Army team, represented by the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), secured first position at the International Pacesticking Competition 2026 held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the PMA team achieved a clean sweep at the prestigious event by winning all major honours, including the Overall Team Trophy, Best Pace Sticker award, and Best Driver award.

Sixteen international military teams participated in the prestigious annual competition.
The nine-member Pakistani contingent was led by Major Haider Gulzar, Adjutant of PMA, and arrived in the United Kingdom on June 5 to participate in the annual competition.
A total of 16 teams from militaries around the world took part in the event hosted by the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
In a statement, ISPR said the achievement reflects the “highest standards of professional training, excellence and dedication maintained by the Armed Forces of Pakistan.”
The International Pacesticking Competition is regarded as a prestigious military event that showcases ceremonial drill skills, discipline, coordination, and leadership among participating armed forces teams.
