Peshawar: Pakistani martial artist Irfan Mehsood has added another Guinness World Record to his remarkable collection, but his latest achievement also highlights the growing impact of his training on a new generation of athletes.

Mehsood completed 38 full-extension one-hand punches in one minute while carrying a 10-kilogram weight, surpassing the Guinness World Records target of 30 punches.

According to his Guinness World Records certificate, the feat was achieved in Dera Ismail Khan on March 19, 2026.

Speaking to Geo News, Mehsood said exceeding the required benchmark had earned him another place in the record books.

His latest achievement adds to a career spanning multiple strength and fitness disciplines. Mehsood said he has already established 70 world records in the push-up category, which he described as the highest number globally in the discipline.

The martial artist has also set records while performing with weights of 100, 80, 60 and 40 pounds and said his achievements have surpassed records previously held by athletes from more than 20 countries, including the United States, India and Germany.

His record-setting performances cover a wide range of physical challenges, including squats, jumping jacks, step-ups, knee strikes, elbow strikes, side jumps, high jumps and star jumps.

However, Mehsood’s influence extends beyond his own achievements. Twenty of his students have also gone on to establish Guinness World Records, turning his individual success into a broader training legacy.

The latest record therefore adds another chapter to Mehsood’s international achievements while underscoring his efforts to promote martial arts, fitness and competitive training among young athletes in Pakistan.
