Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast very hot and humid weather across most parts of Sindh during the next 24 hours.
According to the Met Office, the prevailing weather conditions are expected to remain hot and humid throughout the province, with no significant change in temperatures.
However, partly cloudy skies are likely over the coastal areas, offering limited relief from the heat.
The PMD has advised residents to take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses, particularly during peak daytime hours.
Karachi is expected to experience partly cloudy and humid weather with a chance of isolated drizzle on Saturday, while the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned that thunderstorms and heavy rainfall could affect several parts of the country over the next 12 to 24 hours.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the maximum temperature in Karachi is likely to remain between 34°C and 36°C, with humidity levels ranging from 65 to 75 percent.
The Met Office said most parts of Sindh are expected to remain hot and dry during the next 24 hours, although partly cloudy conditions with the possibility of light drizzle are forecast for coastal areas, including Karachi.
Meanwhile, the NDMA has issued a nationwide weather advisory, cautioning that heavy rain, strong winds and thunderstorms may trigger urban flooding, flash floods, landslides and Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOFs) in vulnerable regions.
