Police Arrest Two in Pizza Delivery Robbery Case in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: The district police have arrested the alleged ringleader of a gang, along with an accomplice, accused of robbing a pizza delivery rider, police said.
According to the police spokesperson, the suspects allegedly lured the delivery rider by placing a food order before committing the robbery. During the operation, police recovered the stolen mobile phone, cash, the food delivery bag, and the weapon allegedly used in the crime.
The case was registered in May 2026. Police traced and arrested the suspects using technical surveillance and human intelligence.
SP Saddar Anum Sher stated that the accused would be produced before the court with substantial evidence to ensure legal proceedings.
ANF Arrests Eight, Seizes Over 45kg of Narcotics
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested eight suspected drug traffickers, including a woman, and seized more than 45.5 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs6.5 million during seven intelligence-based operations conducted across the country.
According to an ANF spokesperson, two operations in Karachi foiled attempts to smuggle drugs abroad through courier services. At a courier office in the Federal B Area, officials recovered 4 kilograms of crystal meth (ice) concealed inside children’s clothing in a parcel destined for Bahrain.
In a separate operation at a courier office in Saddar, ANF recovered 6.3 kilograms of ice soaked into men’s garments from another parcel bound for Bahrain.
In Jhang, ANF personnel intercepted a vehicle near Bhakkar Road and recovered 5 kilograms of ice, arresting the suspected supplier.
Meanwhile, four inter-provincial operations led to additional seizures. Near Sher Shah Toll Plaza in Multan, authorities recovered 14.4 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle and arrested two suspects.
In Peshawar, ANF seized 5 kilograms of hashish from a suspect near Custom Chowk.
In Lahore, two suspects travelling in a rickshaw near Canal Road were arrested after officials recovered 4.8 kilograms of hashish. In another operation near a mosque on McLeod Road, ANF arrested a woman and recovered 3.6 kilograms of hashish and 2.4 kilograms of opium from her possession.
The ANF said cases have been registered against all the suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997, while further investigations are underway.
