Faisalabad: The City police have filed a case against an individual for allegedly assaulting an anti-polio team.

According to a police spokesperson, the incident occurred when an anti-polio squad, including Chanda Musarrat, Muhammad Asif, and Muhammad Abid, visited the residence of Ali Hassan in Ghousia Colony. Hassan became agitated by their presence, verbally abusing the team upon their arrival.

Despite the team’s efforts to administer the polio vaccine to children, Hassan became increasingly hostile, resorting to physically assaulting the team members and issuing threats. Subsequently, the polio team sought assistance from Rescue-15, prompting a City Sammundri police unit to rush to the scene. However, the accused managed to flee before the authorities arrived.
