Islamabad Traffic Police Divert Routes in Aabpara Area

Islamabad: The Islamabad Traffic Police on Saturday issued a traffic Traffic Policeannouncing diversions on key roads in and around Aabpara to ensure smooth vehicular flow.
According to an ITP official, traffic moving from Aabpara Chowk to Shell Pump will be diverted. Commuters have been advised to use alternate routes including old MNA Hostel, Suhrawardy Road and Srinagar Highway.
Traffic from Lal Masjid Chowk towards Aabpara Chowk, Suhrawardy Road and Municipal Road will also face diversions.
Motorists travelling from Lal Masjid to Aabpara are advised to use Zahid-ul-Millat Road and G-6 (Saddar Road) as alternative routes.
Additionally, traffic from Chand Tara Loop heading towards Aabpara via Suhrawardy Road will be diverted. Citizens are encouraged to use Srinagar Highway via 7th Avenue for smoother travel.
The ITP has urged commuters to plan their routes in advance and follow traffic guidelines to avoid inconvenience.

meanwhile,the Islamabad Capital Territory Police have arrested a suspected motorcycle thief during a targeted operation, recovering stolen vehicles and a firearm within the jurisdiction of Shams Colony Police Station.
According to police officials, a team from Shams Colony carried out a successful raid, leading to the arrest of the accused, identified as Ijaz Baig, who is described as a habitual offender involved in multiple theft cases.
During the operation, police recovered three stolen motorcycles worth hundreds of thousands of rupees. The vehicles were reportedly taken from various locations within the same police jurisdiction.
Authorities also seized a 30-bore pistol along with ammunition, allegedly used in criminal activities, from the suspect’s possession.
Officials stated that Islamabad Police have intensified their crackdown on criminal elements to maintain law and order in the federal capital.
Muhammad Jawad Tariq, Deputy Inspector General of Police, reaffirmed that strict action against criminals will continue, adding that no one will be allowed to disrupt public peace.
