ICT Police Deploy 7,000 Personnel for Eid Security

Islamabad:The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have finalized comprehensive security and traffic arrangements for Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr, deploying more than 7,000 officers, personnel and volunteers across the federal capital.

An official said on Friday that over 3,000 officers and personnel would be assigned to security duties at mosques, imambargahs and open prayer venues during Eid congregations.

Citizens will be allowed to attend Eid prayers through designated entry points after body searches, while parking near mosques and imambargahs will be strictly prohibited to ensure security.

To maintain smooth traffic flow during Eid holidays, more than 500 traffic officers will be deployed across the city. Special pickets have also been established to curb one-wheeling and reckless driving.

The official added that over 2,000 police personnel will be stationed at public places, parks and graveyards. Special police contingents, along with foot, bicycle and horse-mounted patrol units, will be deployed at recreational spots.

Only families will be allowed entry into family parks, while lady police personnel will also be present at recreational points during Chand Raat and Eid days.

Police mobiles, Dolphin Squad teams and other patrolling units will conduct extensive patrols across the city. Strict action will be taken against those involved in aerial firing, one-wheeling and other illegal activities.

The ICT Police reiterated their commitment to utilizing all available resources to ensure foolproof security and provide a safe environment for citizens during Eid-ul-Fitr.

Dolphin Force Flag March in Islamabad

In a visible show of preparedness ahead of Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr, the Islamabad Capital Territory Police Dolphin Force carried out a late-night flag march across various parts of the federal capital.

The operation, supervised by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, covered key areas of the city, aiming to reassure citizens and reinforce the police’s readiness to maintain law and order during the festive period.

According to an official, the march was intended to boost public confidence by highlighting the active presence of law enforcement and its commitment to safeguarding lives and property.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that comprehensive security measures are already in place across Islamabad, with police remaining fully vigilant to respond to any situation during Eid-ul-Fitr.

The flag march began at the Sports Complex, moved through multiple city routes, and concluded at the same, reflecting a coordinated effort to enhance visibility and deterrence.

Authorities reiterated that ensuring public safety and maintaining peace remain top priorities as the city prepares to celebrate Eid.
