Los Angeles: A former assistant of Vin Diesel accused him of sexual assault in an Atlanta hotel room over a decade ago, according to a lawsuit filed against him on Thursday

The lawsuit is the latest claim to be filed with court in California, where the timeframe for legal action in alleged sexual crime cases has been extended.

Asta Jonasson, upon starting work for the company of the “Fast and Furious” star, was assigned her initial task to accompany Vin Diesel during the filming of “Fast Five” in Atlanta in September 2010.

During her duties, she assisted Diesel in discreetly leaving a hotel in the early morning after entertaining several women in a suite, aiming to avoid paparazzi attention.

In the suite alone with him, Jonasson alleges that Vin Diesel sexually assaulted her. She claims Diesel forcefully groped her breasts, kissed her, and despite her protests, escalated the assault by attempting to remove her underwear.

According to the lawsuit, Jonasson sought refuge in a bathroom, but Diesel followed, compelling her to touch him. He then cornered her against a wall and engaged in inappropriate behavior.

The following Samantha Vincent, Diesel’s sister and the president of the company that employed Jonasson, reportedly terminated her employment. The lawsuit asserts that this action was a message that Jonasson was fired for resisting Diesel’s advances and that his actions would be protected and concealed.

The civil suit filed seeks unspecified damages against Diesel, Vincent, and their respective companies. No immediate response was provided by representatives of Diesel to requests for comments from AFP. Jonasson has chosen to waive her anonymity typically granted to alleged victims of sexual abuse.
