Islamabad: Immigration officials of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) offloaded an Afghan national at Islamabad International Airport after detecting a fake travel record and evidence suggesting the use of multiple identities.

According to FIA officials, the passenger, identified as Muheezullah Khan, was travelling to Germany when he was stopped during immigration clearance.

Officials said a departure stamp purportedly showing previous travel from Pakistan was found to be fake, while no corresponding record of the journey existed in the Integrated Border Management System (IBMS).

During further scrutiny, authorities examined the passenger’s mobile phone and recovered a document linked to the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), indicating that he had allegedly travelled abroad in the past using a Pakistani passport.

Preliminary investigations revealed indications of possible use of multiple identities and nationalities, prompting authorities to launch a detailed inquiry into the matter.

The passenger was subsequently offloaded from the flight and handed over to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) in Islamabad for further legal action.

Officials said mobile phones, travel documents, travel records and other relevant material had been taken into custody as evidence as the investigation continues.
