Six Indian-Backed Militants Killed in Operation in DI Khan
News Desk
DI KHAN: As many as six militants reportedly supported by Indian intelligence were killed in DI Khan, security sources revealed on Sunday.
The operation, conducted by the Pakistan Army, targeted a hideout believed to be linked to cross-border terrorism.
According to military sources, the operation was initiated following intelligence reports indicating the presence of these militants in the area.
The operation was swift and aimed at neutralizing threats posed by groups allegedly receiving support from foreign entities.
A military spokesperson stated, “This operation underscores our commitment to counter-terrorism and maintaining peace in the region.”
The elimination of these militants is expected to bolster security in Dera Ismail Khan and surrounding areas, which have faced sporadic violence linked to militant activities.
Analysts suggest that such operations are crucial for Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and ensure stability, especially in regions vulnerable to external influences.
Moving forward, the military plans to continue its operations against remaining militant factions.
Authorities are also expected to enhance surveillance and intelligence-sharing mechanisms to prevent future threats.
The government is likely to hold briefings to update the public on security measures and the ongoing fight against terrorism.
