Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) board has given the green light for the establishment of an IT park spanning 3.3 acres in Sector G-10 of Islamabad.

This initiative aims to modernize office operations within the CDA, particularly through digitization efforts led by the Member for Technology and Digitalization.

The IT park will be developed through a Public Private Partnership model, with a designated plot already allocated for its construction.

It is projected to encompass a covered area of 100,000 square feet, accommodating approximately 5 to 6 thousand freelancers.

The facility will cater to various needs, including workspaces for freelancers, start-ups, and software houses, as well as amenities such as a library, exhibition space for IT products, research centers, conference halls, and meeting rooms.

Private companies will bear the construction costs, and after a period of 15 years, ownership of the IT park will be transferred to the CDA.

Additionally, private entities will have the opportunity to rent space within the park for establishing their IT offices.

This initiative is expected to not only enhance CDA’s revenue streams but also ensure the provision of modern IT facilities to the residents and visitors of Islamabad.

The CDA administration emphasizes its commitment to equipping Islamabad with contemporary amenities as a top priority, aiming to enhance the overall quality of life for all those residing or visiting the city.
