Pakistan Fight Back as Bangladesh Set Massive 437-Run Target

Islamabad: On the fourth day of the Sylhet Test, Pakistan continued batting in their second innings while chasing a daunting target of 437 runs set by Bangladesh.
Pakistan lost their first wicket at 27 runs when Abdullah Fazal was dismissed after scoring 6 runs. The second wicket fell at 41 runs as Azan Awais returned to the pavilion after making 21 runs.
Earlier, Pakistan had been bowled out for 232 runs in their first innings, conceding a 46-run lead to Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Set Pakistan 437-Run Target
In the second Test match being played in Sylhet, Bangladesh set Pakistan a challenging target of 437 runs for victory after scoring 390 runs in their second innings.
At the close of the third day’s play, Pakistan’s openers remained unbeaten without scoring.
Bangladesh resumed their innings on Day 3 at 110 for 3. Captain Najamul Hossain Shanto was dismissed for 15 runs with the team score at 115.
Mushfiqur Rahim played a magnificent innings of 137 runs to anchor Bangladesh’s batting lineup. Liton Das contributed 69 runs, while Mahmudul Hasan Joy added 52.

Bangladesh’s fifth wicket fell at 238 when Liton Das was dismissed. Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored 19 before becoming the sixth batter out at 272 runs.
The seventh wicket fell at 349 with Taijul Islam departing after scoring 22 runs. Taskin Ahmed managed 6 runs before becoming the eighth wicket, while Shoriful Islam scored 12 before getting out at 383. Bangladesh were eventually all out for 390 runs, with Mushfiqur Rahim being the final batter dismissed.
For Pakistan, Khurram Shahzad claimed 4 wickets, Sajid Khan took 3, Hasan Ali picked up 2, and Mohammad Abbas secured 1 wicket.
Bangladesh’s First Innings
On the opening day of the match, Bangladesh were bowled out for 278 runs in their first innings, with Liton Das starring with a brilliant knock of 126 runs.
Pakistan’s bowling attack was led by Khurram Shahzad, who took 4 wickets. Mohammad Abbas claimed 3 wickets, while Hasan Ali and Sajid Khan took 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
