Abbottabad: Ahead of Eid al-Azha, the Hazara Police have rolled out a comprehensive security and tourism facilitation plan across Hazara Division, establishing 44 Tourist Assistance Centers and deploying additional personnel to ensure the safety of visitors and residents during the holiday season.
According to Regional Police Officer Hazara Nasir Mahmood Satti, enhanced police deployment has been arranged at Eid congregations, mosques, public gathering points, and sensitive locations across the division to maintain law and order throughout the festive period.
As part of the tourism facilitation strategy, 44 Tourist Assistance Centers have been set up at key locations to guide and assist domestic and international visitors exploring the scenic valleys, hills, and recreational spots of Hazara.
Officials said special traffic arrangements have also been implemented to ensure smooth vehicular flow, particularly in popular tourist destinations expected to see heavy rush during the Eid holidays.
Police contingents will remain present in busy markets and commercial hubs to strengthen security and prevent any untoward incidents during peak holiday activity.
The RPO warned that strict legal action would be taken against individuals engaging in aerial firing, reckless driving, one-wheeling, drifting, or other dangerous activities that could endanger public safety.
Authorities have also urged tourists and residents to exercise caution while travelling in hilly areas, especially during rainfall, and advised people to avoid fast-flowing rivers and waterways due to heightened risks during the monsoon-like conditions.
Hazara Police appealed for public cooperation, stressing that adherence to traffic rules and safety guidelines is essential to ensuring a peaceful, secure, and enjoyable Eid holiday experience for both tourists and local communities.
