Meera Appeals for Urgent Visa to Reunite With Ailing Sister

Lahore: Pakistani actress Meera has appealed to the London embassy and Pakistani authorities to issue her a visa on humanitarian grounds so she can travel to London to visit her seriously ill sister.

In a video statement, Meera said she is currently in New York and wants to travel to London to see her sister, Shaista Abbas, who she said is in the final stage of cancer.

The actress said her mother, Shafqat Begum, and brother, Syed Hussain Abbas, are already in London with her sister.

“I want to see my sister,” Meera said in her appeal, urging the relevant authorities to consider her circumstances and facilitate her travel on humanitarian grounds.

She appealed to the London embassy and Pakistani authorities to issue the visa so she can be with her family during what she described as a difficult time.

The actress’s appeal comes as her family remains in London with her ailing sister, while Meera is currently in New York.
