Islamabad: An exhibition showcasing Islamic calligraphy is drawing art enthusiasts, families, and foreign tourists to the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa), highlighting Pakistan’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.
The exhibition features a collection of calligraphic works by talented artists and aims to promote one of the most celebrated forms of Islamic art while encouraging appreciation for traditional craftsmanship.
A senior Lok Virsa official said the institute remains committed to preserving, documenting, and promoting Pakistan’s diverse folk traditions and cultural heritage through exhibitions and educational initiatives.
As part of its efforts to support emerging artists, Lok Virsa has invited aspiring calligraphers to submit samples of their work along with a brief profile for consideration in future exhibitions.
According to the institute, all submissions will be reviewed, and only selected framed artworks will be displayed. Lok Virsa reserves the right to accept or reject entries based on its selection criteria, while all exhibited works will be returned to their respective artists after the exhibition concludes.
