FIA Busts Fake Visa Network in Lahore

Lahore: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has uncovered an alleged network involved in preparing fake visas and protector stickers during a raid in Lahore, recovering hundreds of Pakistani passports and identity documents.
According to an FIA Lahore Zone spokesperson, the operation was carried out by the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Lahore in E-Block of Sabzar Scheme following a tip-off.
During the raid, FIA officials recovered 305 Pakistani passports along with fake visa stickers allegedly belonging to different countries.
Authorities also seized 100 identity cards belonging to citizens and recovered a quantity of counterfeit protector stickers during the operation.
The FIA arrested a suspect identified as Javed Iqbal, a resident of Sabzar, Lahore, in connection with the alleged document-forgery network.
According to the agency, Iqbal was also wanted in FIA AHTC Lahore case No. 551/2020.
The FIA said further investigation into the network and its activities is underway, while efforts are being made to determine the wider extent of the alleged fraud and identify other individuals involved.
The operation forms part of the FIA’s ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking, illegal migration and the use of forged travel and immigration documents.
