Speeding Car Kills Pedestrian in Karachi Hit-and-Run

KARACHI: A tragic hit-and-run incident claimed the life of an unidentified young man near Benazir Park in the Boat Basin area of the metropolis, local authorities confirmed on Monday.
The victim, estimated to be around 25 years old, was struck down while attempting to cross a busy thoroughfare by an overspeeding vehicle whose driver managed to flee the scene before law enforcement could intervene.
According to preliminary police reports, rescue teams and local law enforcement arrived at the site shortly after receiving emergency calls from horrified onlookers. The body of the deceased was subsequently transferred to a nearby medical facility for medico-legal formalities and identification.
