NEW YORK: Pakistan joined seven other prominent Muslim nations on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to demand that Israel immediately fulfill its outstanding commitments under the first phase of the Gaza peace plan.
The joint call, issued by the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Turkiye, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, underscores a unified diplomatic push to halt the devastating conflict and address the worsening humanitarian crisis in the enclave.
In a strongly worded joint statement, the coalition of foreign ministers emphasized that Israel must ensure the immediate, safe, and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance and early recovery supplies to Gaza.
Furthermore, the ministers highlighted the urgent need to facilitate the rehabilitation of critical civilian infrastructure destroyed during the military campaign.
