Kashmir Dispute Poses Grave Threat to Regional Peace: Dar

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan’s leadership has once again underscored the urgent necessity of resolving the longstanding Kashmir dispute, warning that leaving the core issue unaddressed poses a grave and persistent threat to regional peace and stability.
Addressing a high-level diplomatic forum in the federal capital, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that sustainable security in South Asia remains inextricably linked to a just and peaceful resolution of Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions and the legitimate aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The official reiterated that continued human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) demand immediate international attention and accountability, noting that unilateral measures taken to alter the disputed status of the territory are legally void and fail to diminish the resolve of the Kashmiri population.
As diplomatic engagements continue, Islamabad is expected to further intensify its outreach at multilateral forums, urging the international community to move beyond mere rhetoric and fulfill its moral and legal obligations toward ensuring self-determination for the region.
