Infinix Unveils Note 40 Series: An Overview of Four Models

News Desk

Islamabad: The Infinix Note 40 series, unveiled for the global market on March 18, encompasses four models: the Note 40 (4G), Note 40 Pro (4G), Note 40 Pro 5G, and Note 40 Pro+ 5G.

In an announcement, the brand confirmed that the Note 40 Pro 5G and Note 40 Pro+ 5G would debut in India on April 12.

A standout feature of the Note 40 lineup is the All-Round FastCharge 2.0 technology, succeeding the previous All-Round FastCharge tech seen in last year’s Note 30 series.

The marketing campaign for the Note 40 series revolves around the #TakeCharge hashtag.

What exactly does All-Round FastCharge 2.0 entail? To ensure uninterrupted usage throughout the day, Infinix has introduced this technology in the Note 40 series.

Alongside supporting up to 100W wired charging, the Note 40 models also facilitate wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, magnetic wireless charging, bypass charging, and charging in adverse weather conditions.

Additionally, it introduces a new magnetic wireless charging power bank.

Rapid 100W Charging

The Note 40 Pro+ 5G is equipped with the Cheetah X1 chip, an in-house developed chip, alongside the Dimensity 7020 SoC.

This chip serves as a power management unit, overseeing various charging functionalities like wired charging, bypass charging, and reverse charging. Moreover, it monitors real-time current delivery to prevent overheating.Infinix Unveils Note 40 Series: An Overview of Four ModelsFeaturing a 4,600mAh battery, the Note 40 Pro+ 5G stands out as the sole model in the series to support 100W charging. The Note 40 Pro 5G, boasting a 5,000mAh battery, offers 45W wired charging.

In contrast, the Note 40 Pro (4G) and Note 40 (4G) support 75W and 45W wired charging, respectively. Both 4G variants are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery.

Upon connection to the included 100W charger, the Note 40 series presents a distinctive pop-up window showcasing three charging modes.

Hyper Mode: Achieves a full charge in approximately 35 minutes, based on personal testing.

Low-temp Mode: Maintains a temperature 6 to 10°C cooler than Hyper Mode. The company asserts that charging temperature remains at 30°C in a stable 25°C environment.

Smart Mode: Combines the advantages of Hyper and Low-temp modes. In testing, it took roughly 50 minutes to reach full charge.

Effortless MagCharge Trio

Magnetic wireless charging utilizes magnets to align and secure the charging pad with the device being charged. This alignment provided by magnets ensures a stable connection, faster charging speeds, and improved efficiency compared to traditional wireless charging methods that rely solely on electromagnetic induction.

Infinix Unveils Note 40 Series: An Overview of Four ModelsOne of the key advantages of magnetic wireless charging is its ability to eliminate the need for precise positioning. The magnets guide the device to effortlessly snap onto the charging pad, addressing common issues like misalignment and positioning challenges experienced with regular wireless charging methods.

The entire Note 40 series, comprising four models, supports 20W magnetic wireless charging. Each model comes equipped with the company’s MagKit, which includes essential items for magnetic charging.

MagCase is a unique protective casing with a luxurious leather-like finish, designed with a ring of magnets to seamlessly attach to a magnetic wireless charging pad.

MagPad is a magnetic wireless charging pad offering versatile charging speeds ranging from 5W to 15W, with a maximum current input of 11V2A. It supports various charging protocols such as EPP, PD, QC, and PE+.

MagPower is an innovative wireless power bank utilizing magnetic charging technology. Weighing just 53 grams, it houses a 3,020mAh battery capacity.

When attached to the Note 40 series, it wirelessly charges at speeds of either 5W or 7W. Notably, it features a power button and a battery level indicator for user convenience.

When MagPower is connected to a power source and simultaneously attached to the back of a phone, it can deliver a maximum charging speed of 18W.

This power bank supports charging inputs up to 9V/3A and is compatible with Qi and EPP charging protocols. Infinix claims MagPower to be the slimmest and lightest magnetic wireless charging power bank available.

Reverse Charging

The Note 40 series offers both wired and wireless reverse charging capabilities. Wired reverse charging supports speeds of up to 10W, while wireless reverse charging operates at 5W.Infinix Unveils Note 40 Series: An Overview of Four ModelsBypass charging technology enables the Note 40 series to supply direct current to the motherboard during heavy usage, such as gaming or video playback, bypassing the battery. This helps minimize heat accumulation and preserves battery life.

The high-density batteries within the Note 40 series are designed to withstand extreme cold conditions, allowing the device to be charged even at temperatures as low as minus 20°C.

Utilizing AI, the Note 40 Pro+ 5G implements smart overnight charging by limiting charging to 80% capacity, preventing overcharging until closer to the user’s morning wake-up time.

Other Charging Features

Direct Power Delivery

When experiencing heavy usage such as gaming or video streaming, the Note 40 series employs bypass charging technology to deliver current directly to the motherboard, bypassing the battery. This feature not only reduces heat buildup but also extends the battery’s lifespan.Infinix Unveils Note 40 Series: An Overview of Four ModelsExtreme Weather Endurance

Equipped with high-density batteries, the Note 40 series can endure extreme cold conditions, allowing the device to be charged even at temperatures as low as minus 20°C.

Intelligent Overnight Charging

The Note 40 Pro+ 5G utilizes artificial intelligence to manage overnight charging, limiting it to 80% capacity. This prevents overcharging and ensures optimal battery health until just before the user wakes up in the morning.

Versatile Charging Compatibility

With USB PD 3.0 compatibility, the charger of the Note 40 series can power various devices, including earbuds, laptops, and other smartphones.

Battery Indicator Ring

The notification area surrounding the display punch-hole of the Note 40 series will display the battery percentage while the device is charging.

Dynamic Halo Lighting

Featuring Active Halo RGB lighting on the back, the Note 40 series pulsates during charging and remains illuminated once fully charged.
