According to Indian media reports citing police officials, the incident took place in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu.
The victim, Madhumitha, wife of a local businessman named Vinod Kumar residing near Nagercoil, regularly posted short-form videos to engage her digital audience. Investigators believe the brazen display of valuables on public platforms acted as a direct beacon for criminal elements monitoring local social media feeds.
The cybersecurity and local policing divisions have frequently warned public figures and digital creators against the perils of oversharing personal assets and real-time location data online.
