ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Arshad, father of Zeeshan Arshad, a domestic worker arrested in connection with the murder of Hina Javed, has alleged that his son is being framed in the case, with the entire blame for the killing being shifted onto him.

Speaking about his meetings with Zeeshan in prison, Muhammad Arshad claimed that his son had told him about an argument between Hina Javed and her husband, Faisal Asghar, on the night of the incident.

He said Zeeshan had been employed at Hina Javed’s residence for the past seven months and that he had visited his son twice since his arrest.

According to Muhammad Arshad, Zeeshan recounted that he was awakened by a commotion during the early hours of August 20 and heard the couple arguing. He allegedly saw Faisal Asghar following Hina Javed during the altercation.

The father claimed that Faisal then scolded Zeeshan and ordered him to catch hold of Hina. However, Zeeshan reportedly refused to intervene, considering it a private dispute between the couple.

Muhammad Arshad further alleged that, according to his son, Faisal assaulted him and threatened him at gunpoint, forcing him to restrain Hina Javed.

He also claimed that Zeeshan was subjected to physical violence and intense pressure to extract a confession following his arrest.

Questioning the allegations against his son, Muhammad Arshad argued that Zeeshan had been employed at the residence for several months and maintained that he was innocent. He alleged that the police were placing the entire responsibility for Hina Javed’s murder on his son.

The claims have been attributed to Muhammad Arshad and his account of what Zeeshan allegedly told him during prison visits. They have not been independently verified.

The allegations concerning Faisal Asghar and the circumstances surrounding Hina Javed’s death remain subject to investigation, and no conclusions should be drawn without further verified evidence.
