Govt Raises Loan Limits for Women Under New Initiatives

News Desk

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani government has announced a significant increase in the loan limits for women under various economic schemes, raising the cap from 7.5 million to 25 million rupees.

This decision was made during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, where the Youth Business and Agriculture Loan Schemes were reviewed.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the importance of empowering women through financial support, stating that these initiatives aim to enhance women’s participation in the economy.

The increase in loan limits is expected to provide greater access to capital for women entrepreneurs, enabling them to start and expand their businesses.

This move is seen as a crucial step towards promoting gender equality and economic development in Pakistan.

By facilitating easier access to loans, the government hopes to stimulate economic growth and reduce unemployment rates among women, who have historically faced barriers in accessing financial resources.

Looking ahead, the government plans to monitor the implementation of these schemes closely and may introduce additional measures to further support women in business.

Stakeholders are encouraged to participate in upcoming consultations to refine these initiatives and ensure they meet the needs of women across the country.
